Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. The actress grew up with dreams of great heights. Her most memorable roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol and the thriller Precious. When she was a child she was raised in an Los Angeles middle-class household. The mother of her children was a film buff and was able to instill a love of films into the girl. Paula was a participant in co-curricular activities at school, and was a drama enthusiast. Her classmates and she played together and took part in the school's plays. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was her preferred career. She was a student at an acting program at the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. She received a 3-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. After completing the project with success, she began working as an assistant for TV documentary production. Then, she switched to producing documentaries. She loved her work however, she always wanted to become an actor. Her acting journey began through a tiny character in the film romantic comedy Hitch along with Will Smith. She has appeared since in a variety of films and television series.
