Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 into the musically inclined family of Newark New Jersey is the daughter of Gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of the singer Dionne Warwick. The singer began her singing career in the choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark as a young child and at 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. It is The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. Even though the movie and actor's performance weren't highly praised, the soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was her most popular single and album for several months. The album sold over 44 million copies around the world. In 1993, it was also when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician with whom she bore the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In 1996 her daily drug usage was well documented.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN political reporter and anchorwoman.
