April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among a few female players of beach volleyball who have achieved this feat. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and will join the team in Tokyo. Ross is determined to earn more than her first Olympic medal. Perhaps it is her last opportunity, given that she is 39 years old. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. If we play our top or play well I feel like we can get that gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. This is also a matter of chance. Ross born August 22nd, 1982 in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area with her family. Ross competed in many sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. As a pre-schooler, she competed in indoor volleyball along with basketball as well as running track. Although she was a pro in indoor volleyball, it was clear that her skills were above the average. During her high school career she played middle blocker, outside setter and hitter on the volleyball court as per her bio at the college. For her efforts she was named in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. The skills she showed in volleyball also brought her an Orange County Athlete of the Years trophy in the year 2000. Even though Ross Klineman and Ross are a couple from 2017 onward, the former had already been a major participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. The other is an iconic player in the volleyball world. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Kessy was Ross's co-coach at the World Championships in 2009. In 2012, the pair were awarded silver medals at the London Olympic Games. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, beat them out to win the gold. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. The team won bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a Trojans player for the USC throughout her college prior to becoming a professional. The time she spent at USC was impressive. In 2000, she was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. Her Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss in her sophomore season however she was able to return in the ranks of an All-American. The last two years as a member of the Trojans team they won victories by winning consecutive national championships. She had established her place as a legend having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female collegiate volleyball player. Ross was an international relations major at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, was never given the chance to watch her daughter grow into the beach volleyball's biggest star. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore at USC her mother died of breast cancer. She continues to hold her lost parent near and close. Also, Margie continues to be an motivation for her at the beach and in life.
