Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born at Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish has a connection to Ryder's Jewish father. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was only seven her family relocated to Mendocino County California. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days reading books as there was no television. When she turned 12 years old, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986 when she was 15 years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her hope was that acting might change the situation. Sadly that didn't happen. However, she continued to pursue her ambitions. Ryder made her breakthrough through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder kept playing successful roles in various films. In 1993, she was awarded an Academy Prize to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
