Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born on 15 September 1915, in Ogden Utah. Born into the Mormon Church's original family Fawn McKay used her ingenuous abilities in the field of literature and impressive expertise in researching to produce the remarkable psycho-historical account of Joseph Smith, published in 1945. It was entitled: The Only Man Knows My History. The title was taken from an 1844 funeral speech given by Joseph Smith. He stated: "You didn't know me or my heart. My history is not known to anyone. Nobody knows my story. Fawn the 29 year old woman has written: "Since that moment of sincerity, at the very least three writers have taken on the challenge." There have been attempts to claim that he is godlike while others accused him of being an obfuscator. Some have even made the diagnosis of a medical condition. But the problem is these documents are not real. They're contradictory. This is the task--to separate the primary source from the plagiarism of third parties and to blend Mormon claims with the non-Mormons' in an authentic historical mosaic. It is both exciting and educational. Fawn brodie devoted herself professionally to this task. Her writings and research helped bring her international fame: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The South The life of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. An intimate Historical Document (1974) and a posthumously Richard Nixon.
